Replacing your radio can be challenging, but it’s definitely doable for anyone who wants to take on a bit of a project. Follow these steps to remove your 2008 Ford Escape Radio:
Step 1: Gently take off the trim from the upper vent panel with a pry tool.
Step 2: Remove the clips holding the speaker in place.
Step 3: Take out the ground bolts from the passenger’s side of the radio with an 8mm wrench.
Step 4: Double-check for any missed screws or fasteners around the sides to make sure the radio is free.
Step 5: Remove the radio by simply pulling it out of its slot!
Congratulations—you just removed your radio! While installation instructions for your new one will depend on which radio you buy, the most advanced steps will be sliding it into place, connecting it to your speakers, and bolting it down.
