How do you put oil in a BMW 328i?

My car indicator says that I need to add oil but I’m not sure how to do it. I’d rather not visit the mechanic if it’s something I can do myself.

You shouldn’t have to visit your mechanic unless you’re due for an oil change! To put more oil in a
BMW 328i
, just follow these steps:
  • Open the hood
of your car and locate the oil cap. In a 328i, it will be to the right of your engine.
  • Remove the oil cap and place a funnel in the opening.
  • Carefully, pour oil into the funnel. Be sure to check the oil level using a dipstick or your car’s oil indicator as you do this to prevent overfilling.
  • When you’re done, replace the oil cap and check your oil indicator to make sure that your oil level is back to normal!
