How do you protect your car from the snow without a garage?

What can I do to protect my car from the snow since I don’t have a garage? I have to park on the street at my apartment and I’m worried about my car this winter since I won’t be able to cover it.

Here are a few things you can do to protect your car from snow without a garage:
  • Stand up your wiper blades. This will prevent them from freezing to your windshield.
  • Use cooking spray. Spray your door seals with cooking spray to keep them from freezing shut; since oil repels water, your doors should open easily with this trick.
  • Wax your car. Before the winter weather sets in, you can wax your car to protect the paint from the harsh cold, snow, and salt.
  • Use a windshield cover. This will make it so you don’t have to scrape your windshield and can protect your car from snow.
  • Or, just cover your whole car
. You can purchase a car cover for the winter to keep your entire car wrapped up.
  • Get a jumpstarter. A portable jumpstarter can be really helpful in the winter months, as your battery is more likely to die when it’s cold outside.
