Bugs, tar, dirt, and sap can accumulate on your car’s exterior and mar the paint job. To prevent paint damage, wash and dry your car regularly.
Make sure you are using gentle soaps, brushes, and cloths to clean off the exterior so you don’t scratch the paint’s finish.
After you wash it, polish your ride with a coat of wax for ultimate shine. The wax will also act as a protectant against UV rays, bird droppings, and more.
Applying wax is as easy as following the directions on the label. Keep in mind that most waxes advise re-application after about six weeks.
Where you park can impact your car’s paint job, as well. Shaded parking spots or parking garages are the most ideal vehicle storage. If you don’t have access to covered parking, consider buying a car cover.
