How do you program a Toyota Venza garage door opener?

I’m going on a trip soon and letting my friend borrow my Toyota Venza while I’m gone. He wants to program my car to open his garage door. How do you program a Toyota Venza garage door opener?

Programming your
Toyota Venza
garage door opener is a really simple process.
Here’s what to do:
  • Point the remote control transmitter for the garage door 1 to 3 inches from the HomeLink button you want to program.
  • Press and hold the transmitter button and the HomeLink button you’re trying to program until the HomeLink indicator light starts flashing rapidly. (This could take up to 20 seconds).
  • Locate the “Learn” or “Train” button on the garage door motor. Press it firmly.
  • Press and hold the programmed HomeLink button for two seconds then release. The garage door may open at this point. If it doesn’t, continue to press and hold the HomeLink button for two seconds at a time until the garage door opens.
If you plan to let someone borrow your car for a while, it’s probably a good idea to check your car insurance policy. And if you need better coverage,
