How do you program a Toyota Highlander garage door opener?

We just bought a new house, but our Toyota Highlander is still programmed to open the garage doors at our old house. How do I program a Toyota Highlander to open the garage doors at our new house?

Toyota Highlanders
come standard with HomeLink buttons that simplify connecting with things like your garage door opener. Here’s what you need to do to get it set up:
  • Point your hand-held transmitter 1 to 3 inches away from the HomeLink buttons in your vehicle.
  • Press and hold both the transmitter button and HomeLink button you want to program. The HomeLink indicator light will blink slowly, then rapidly. You can release the buttons when the light flashes rapidly.
  • Find the “Learn” or “Train” button on your garage door motor and press it firmly.
  • Get back in your vehicle and press and hold the programmed HomeLink button for two seconds and release. Keep pushing the HomeLink button and holding for two seconds at a time until the garage door opens.
