How do you program a Tesla key card?

I just heard about the Tesla update. How do I program my own key card?

Thanks to the release of version nine of the in-car software, owners of the Tesla Model 3 can program their own key cards and phones without making a service appointment.
To do it, tap “General” then “Locks”. A list of the programmed keys will display with the option of doing things like naming, removing, and adding national keys (which can be either phones or cards). It’s important to note that a currently authorized key is required to make any modifications. This prevents you from accidentally deleting all the programmed keys.
This process applies to key cards (which can be purchased from your service center), Model 3 Fobs (which are also purchasable online), and virtual keys in the Tesla App! It’s that simple!
