Hey, there! I’d be happy to help you program your 2014 Jeep Wrangler key fob. However, it’s important to note that you need to already have two working key fobs to do this at home. Here’s what you’ll need to do:
  • Insert a working key fob into the ignition and turn the ignition to ON. Leave it there for 5 to 10 seconds, then turn it to OFF.
  • Remove the transponder from the ignition.
  • Within eight seconds, insert your second already-programmed key fob into the ignition and turn it to the ON position. The security light should turn on, which indicates the vehicle is in “learning mode”.
  • Once the security light turns on, turn the key to the OFF position.
  • Within 40 seconds, insert the new key into the ignition and turn it to the ON position.
  • In 15 seconds or less, the security light will turn on for three seconds. This means the new key has been programmed and can start the car. Now that your key fob is programmed, why not update your car insurance as well? If you’re hesitant to switch plans or insurance providers because you’re worried about the work involved, don’t be.
