To program a 2006 Nissan Altima key, you just need to hop in your car and use the key to put the car in programming mode.
There are a few steps to getting your
Nissan
’s new fob programmed. It isn’t difficult, but the process needs to be well-timed. Here is what you need to do. - Get in the car and lock all the doors using the driver’s side power lock switch
- Put the key into the ignition and remove it 6 times in 10 seconds without turning it. The hazard lights will flash, which means your car is in programming mode.
- Put the key back in the ignition and turn it to the ACC position.
- Within 5 seconds, press the lock button on the remote to be programmed. The hazards lights will flash again to indicate successful programming of the remote.
- If you have multiple remotes to program, unlock then lock all the doors using the driver’s side switch. Within 5 seconds, press the lock button on the next remote to be programmed. The hazard lights will flash to indicate successful programming of that remote. Repeat this step for any additional remotes.
- Turn the key to the off position, remove it, unlock the doors using the driver’s side switch, and open the driver’s side door to finish the programming.
