How do you pop the hood of a Toyota Corolla?
I recently inherited an old car that has been sitting in a garage for a few years and won’t start. I want to see if a jumpstart will get the vehicle running, but I can’t figure out how to open the hood. How do I pop the hood of my Corolla?

- Step 1: Locate the hood release lever under the driver’s side of the dash on the left near the footwell.
- Step 2: Pull the hood release lever, and the hood should lift a few inches.
- Step 3: Go to the front of the car.
- Step 4: Locate the hood latch by sliding your hand along the center underside of the hood.
- Step 5: Push the hood latch to one side.
- Step 6: Lift the hood, and prop it up with the support rod.
Now you can open the hood of your Corolla!
