How do you play Bluetooth music in a Ford?

When I bought my Ford, I could’ve sworn the associate mentioned Bluetooth as an included feature, but I can’t figure out how to connect my phone. How do you play Bluetooth music in a Ford?

You can play Bluetooth music in your
Ford
by pairing your mobile device with the SYNC system, which is a standard feature in all newer Ford models. Depending on the model and age of your vehicle, pairing may require slightly different steps—but here’s a general overview of what to do:
  • The first step is making sure Bluetooth is turned on in your mobile device’s settings
  • From there, you’ll want to select “Phone” on your Ford’s display screen and choose the option titled “Add Phone”
  • Return to your phone’s settings and select your Ford from the list of available Bluetooth devices. It may show up as the name of your vehicle (e.g. “Ford Bronco”) or simply as “Ford SYNC”
  • Once you’ve selected your vehicle, a six-digit PIN should appear on your screen. Confirm that the digits on your mobile device’s screen match the ones shown on your Ford’s display by pressing “YES”
Confirming the PIN will initiate the pairing process, which typically takes less than a minute to complete. Once your phone is paired, you may have the option to sync your contacts or enable emergency assistance. Just select your options, and that’s it—you’re ready to start playing
Bluetooth music
in your Ford!
