How do you play Bluetooth music in a 2010 Chevy Equinox?

I know my Equinox is getting on in years, but I want to be able to play music through Bluetooth. What do I need to do to get it to work?

We’ve got some bad news—even though your car has hands-free calling capability, you can’t play Bluetooth music in a 2010
Chevy Equinox
. Instead, you’ll have to connect an iPod or iPhone to the USB port to stream music.
Hopefully, you’re driving an Equinox with the Interface Package (or an upgraded trim level with a USB port). If so, here’s something you can try to play music in your ‘Nox:
  1. Connect your iPhone to the USB port.
  2. Press MENU/SEL and select Bluetooth Setup.
  3. Follow the prompts to connect your iPhone.
  4. Set your phone to search for Bluetooth devices and select GMusicConnect.
  5. Enter the PIN on the infotainment screen into your phone.
Now, you should be able to start the media player on your phone, and you’ll hear the songs through your car’s speakers.
Keep in mind that this troubleshooting might not work for every 2010 Chevy Equinox, and your features will be limited. For instance, you won’t see song data appear on the display.
