How do you pick a car trunk lock?

I accidentally left my car keys in the trunk of my vehicle, and I don’t have a spare to get them out. Is there a way to pick a car trunk lock?

I’m sorry to hear you locked your keys in the trunk, but there is no good way to pick a car trunk lock without damaging the vehicle. Instead, you should call a locksmith or unlock a different door to access the trunk.
If you don’t mind the damage or replacing a lock, you can use a screwdriver to pry the lock open. Alternatively, you could use a slim jim, which can you can purchase at most auto parts stores.
To access the trunk using a slim jim:
  1. Slide the hook end of the slim jim between the passenger side window and trim near the handle.
  2. Feel around for the lock rod that connects the handle to the locking mechanism.
  3. Hook the slim jim onto the rod and pull up. Once you hear a click, the door should be unlocked.
  4. Unlock the other doors and open the trunk as usual or fold down the rear seats and use the emergency release lever to open the trunk.
Keep in mind that slim jims don’t work on every vehicle, and even if it does, you can still cause damage. In general, calling a locksmith is the best way to access the trunk and the visit may even be covered by your
