How do you perform a BMW infotainment system update?
In my old car, I could update the infotainment by choosing options from the touch screen in the car. In my BMW, it doesn't seem to have any options for updating. How do I update the infotainment system in my BMW?

To perform a BMW infotainment system update is a bit different than in some other cars. But once you know how, it’s actually pretty simple.
To start, you will need a USB drive and your car’s vehicle identification number (VIN). Then:
- Go to BMW’s main website
- From there, navigate to the System Update page
- At the bottom of the page, you will see a prompt asking you for your VIN
- Type in your BMW’s VIN, and you can begin downloading the system update files.
- Store these files on a USB drive.
- Once the download is finished, plug the USB drive directly into the USB port in your BMW. * Then, the update will begin automatically.
