How do you park a car straight?
I’m taking my driver’s test in a week and still haven’t gotten the parking thing figured out. I really need to pass this time! I’m freaking out! What’s the easiest way to park a car straight?

Don’t worry, I’m sure you’re going to do great on your test. And with a little practice, you’ll be able to park a car straight in no time!
Find a nice and large, empty lot to practice lot parking or a calm street to practice parallel parking.
When going for a spot, you’ll need to drive slowly and enter the parking spot at a slight angle. Turn your wheel as you’re coming in so that you’re relatively straight and will have minimal corrections to make in the spot.
It’s okay to adjust your position before you pull into the spot fully—lots of experienced drivers still do it. Be sure to always check your mirrors and be wary of oncoming traffic and pedestrians.
Part of your trouble in parking straight may be the size of the spot (if you’ve been practicing at the same spot repeatedly) or even the speed or amount of space you give yourself to get into the spot. By diversifying the spots you park in and the amount of space you use, you will find yourself getting more comfortable parking anywhere.
