How do you paint car emblems?

How can I paint my car emblem? I don't love the design or color of my car emblem, so I'd like to paint it.

If you’re unhappy with the color of your car emblem, you’re in luck! It’s a fairly easy DIY project. Here’s what you’ll need:
  • High-quality urethane primer
  • Plastic
  • Tape
  • 180-grit sandpaper
  • Lint-free towel
  • Primer sealer
  • Spray paint
  • Paint sealer
To start:
  • Tape off and put plastic anywhere you don’t want paint.
  • Use the 180-grit sandpaper on the emblem to help the paint and primer adhere.
  • Wipe any residue from the sandpaper off with the lint-free towel.
  • Spray a light dusting of primer on the emblem’s surface.
  • Let dry and apply the sealer.
  • Once the sealer is dry, apply your main paint color. You’ll need at least two heavy coats.
  • Apply your paint sealer and let dry. You should now have a car emblem that you love!
