How do you order Tesla parts?
I’m looking to get a new car, and I want to get a Tesla. However, I’m very hands-on when it comes to taking care of and repairing my cars, and I hear it’s a real handful to get Tesla parts if you need to make repairs. What is the best way to order Tesla parts myself?

Good question! While you cannot order more complex Tesla parts, as Tesla generally does not make them available for order, you can order Tesla parts like cabin air filters and windshield wipers straight from their website, along with any and everything to do with charging a Tesla.
Only certified Tesla repair shops have the authority to order specific parts for your car, but even that can take months to receive. So if being able to do work on your own vehicle is a deal-breaker for you, a Tesla may not be the best way to go. Instead, keep shopping around for a car with the same cool factor and environmental impact—with a little research, you’ll be able to find the best ride for you.
