Some newer car models may not have an external trunk release—so how do you get the trunk open? When it comes to opening the trunk on a
Kia
Forte, you have two options: opening from the inside of the car, and using the smart key.To open the trunk from the inside of the car, find the trunk lid release lever under the driver’s seat. Pull up on the lever until you hear the trunk pop open.
To open the trunk using the smart key, press down on the trunk unlock button for more than one second. Then push the button located on the trunk handle while holding the smart key, and the trunk will open.
