! Don’t be embarrassed–I have trouble figuring out how to open the gas tank every time I drive a new car. Here’s how to open the Mitsubishi Outlander gas tank:
- Turn off your vehicle
- Locate the fuel door release lever. It should be next to the driver’s seat on the floorboard near the seat adjustments
- Pull the lever upward to release the fuel tank door
