How do you open the hood on a Subaru Crosstrek?
I’m trying to open the hood on my Subaru to check the oil, but I can’t seem to get it open. I’m not sure if I’m just missing a latch or button, or if it’s just difficult. How do you open the hood on a Subaru Crosstrek?

Some car models can be tricky to work when it comes to getting under the hood—it’s common to have a few latches or buttons that do the job!
- Open the driver’s side door
- Look at the bottom left corner of the dashboard
- Find the small black button with the picture of a popped up car hood
- Release the latch and go to the car hood
- Use one hand to lift the hood, and use your other hand to reach under the middle and release the safety latch underneath
