How do you open the gas tank on a Volvo XC90?

New cars can be tough to get used to! Thankfully, the
Volvo XC90
is a fairly easy car to fuel up once you know where the fuel tank is and how to open the fuel door. Follow these simple steps to open the gas tank on a Volvo XC90: - Step one: find the gas tank symbol on your Volvo XC90’s driver display. The arrow beside the symbol indicates which side the fuel door is on.
- Step two: walk around to the rear of your car on the side that the arrow indicated. The fuel door will look like a rectangular cut-out on the body of your car.
- Step three: gently press the end of the rectangle closest to the back of your car. This should make the fuel door spring open.
- Step four: unscrew the gas cap located underneath the fuel door to access the fuel tank. Now you can fuel up!
Always remember to refuel your car before the fuel gauge reaches “E” to avoid any roadside troubles. Your Volvo XC90 takes 91 octane gasoline, which shouldn’t be surprising given the brand’s luxury status.
