How do you open the gas tank on a Nissan Versa from 2012?

I’m not sure how to open the gas tank of my girlfriend’s car but I want to fill up her tank for her. Where is the fuel tank lever for a 2012 Nissan Versa?

That’s a kind gesture! To open the gas tank on a
Nissan Versa
 from 2012, you’ll need to pull the fuel door release lever that can be found on the lower left-hand side of the steering wheel, just under the instrument cluster.
While some newer cars simply require you to push on your fuel tank door in order to open it, the 2012 Versa still requires you to pull the fuel door release lever. This lever will be labeled with a gas pump icon but if you have difficulty finding it, you can always check the vehicle’s owner’s manual for the lever’s exact location.
Once your fuel tank door has been released, you can exit your vehicle and push the door fully open to reveal your vehicle’s gas cap underneath. Then, simply unscrew the gas cap to access your girlfriend’s Nissan gas tank and fill it up.
