I just bought a new Ford EcoSport and am having trouble figuring out how to open the fuel fill door—how do you open the gas tank on a Ford EcoSport?
Answer:
Depending on the design of your Ford EcoSport’s fuel door, the method for opening the gas tank will vary slightly. If your Ford EcoSport’s fuel fill door has a small, upraised tab on the edge, you simply have to put one or two fingers underneath it and pull the door open.
If your fuel fill door does not have the upraised tab, you can open it by pressing in on the rear center edge of the door and releasing, after which it should pop open—you will, however, need to make sure that your vehicle is unlocked before doing so.
Once you’ve got the fill door open, you’re all set to refuel—the EcoSport has no gas cap to unscrew, so just insert the nozzle into the fuel tank filler valve until it latches to start filling up the tank.
