How do you open the gas tank on a Chrysler 300C?
I’m driving my dad’s Chrysler 300C and I need to fill it up before I return it to him. How do I open the gas tank?

With dozens of makes and countless models between them, there are so many different ways to open a gas tank, so don’t feel bad if you can’t figure it out! Depending on which year model you have, there are two different ways to open the gas tank on a Chrysler 300C. For older models, try pressing the gas tank door directly, which should pop the door right open. For newer models, you’ll need to push the gas tank release button on the driver’s side door, located near the “map pocket.”
No matter what kind of car you’re driving, though, you could probably benefit from cutting back on your costs at the pump. With the price of gas fluctuating all the time, implementing these strategies may ease the strain on your wallet:
- Keep up with your vehicle’sregular maintenanceschedule to make sure your engine runs smoothly for as long as possible.
- Ease up on the pedals—gas and brakes. Sudden acceleration and harsh braking reduce your fuel economy.
- Avoid letting your engine idle, since this uses unnecessary gas. To warm up your car, drive it gently instead.
