How do you open the gas tank on a BMW 750?
My parents got a good deal on a BMW 750 a few hours away, and I’m having to drive it back to deliver it to them. I can’t manage to get the gas door open on it, though. What’s the trick to opening this thing?

BMW
models. To open the fuel tank on a BMW 750, all you have to do is press the edge of the gas door and it should open. If that doesn’t work, you’ll want to double-check that your car is in park and that your doors are unlocked. Your BMW 750’s gas tank may hold anywhere from 18 gallons to 25 gallons of fuel, depending on which year and model you’re driving. Newer models of the 750 average about 20 mpg in combined city and highway driving, but your fuel economy will depend on your model and driving habits. No matter what you drive, you could probably benefit from better fuel economy. Here are a few methods that could help cut down your gas consumption:
- Avoid letting your engine idle.
- Drive gently, refraining from quick braking or harsh acceleration.
