How Do You Open the Gas Tank on a 2020 Ford Fusion?
I bought a 2020 Ford Fusion about a week ago, and it’s just about time to head to the gas station and fuel up. There’s just one small problem—I can’t figure out how to open the gas tank! Do you know how to open the gas tank on a 2020 Ford Fusion?

Despite Ford’s efforts to simplify its gas tank fuel door, the 2020
Ford Fusion
has many drivers stumped about how to open it! We’ll walk you through how to open the gas tank to avoid any trouble at the pump. First, walk around to the left hand side of your car where you’ll find the fuel door. You’ll know you’ve found it when you see a rectangular cut out on the outside of your car that’s a bit larger than your hand, give or take.
Then, press in on the fuel door like it’s a button. This should trigger the door to pop open. Underneath the door, you’ll see the gas cap. Unscrew the cap to access the gas tank, allowing you to fuel up.
Once you fill up your 2020 Fusion, you’ll have about 380 city miles, or 560 city miles, before you’ll need to fuel up again. That’s because the 2020 Fusion has an EPA-estimated 27 combined MPG. It’s best to fuel up before your car reaches these limits to avoid running out of fuel and requiring roadside assistance.
