How do you open the gas tank on a 2019 Hyundai Tucson?
I can’t seem to find the gas tank release lever on my vehicle and I’ve looked EVERYWHERE. It’s just not there. So, how do I open my 2019 Hyundai Tucson’s gas tank?

To open the fuel door, you have to unlock the driver’s side door and then simply push on the right edge of the fuel door itself to release the spring-loaded clip.Hyundai has experimented with a few different fuel door release contraptions in recent years, and it’s led people to the same type of frustration that you’re experiencing. For example, from 2013 to 2018 the
Hyundai Santa Fe
had its fuel door release lever positioned on the driver’s side door on the underside of the armrest. Prior to that, the Santa Fe had the fuel release lever located on the floor to the left of the driver’s seat.When you’ve got your fuel door open, remove the fuel cap, and fill your Tucson with regular gasoline. It can hold up to 16.4 gallons of fuel and has a combined fuel economy rating of between 23 and 26 miles per gallon, depending on which engine and drivetrain your Tucson is furnished with.
When you’re done fuelling up, make sure the gas cap is replaced securely, turning it clockwise to tighten.
