How do you open the gas tank on a 2017 Lexus NX200T?
We recently purchased a used Lexus and it’s the first luxury vehicle we’ve ever owned. The gas is getting low, though, and when I stopped to refuel, I couldn’t figure out how to open the fuel tank door. How do you open the gas tank on a Lexus NX200T from 2017?

Driving a luxury vehicle for the first time definitely comes with a bit of retraining, but you’ll figure it all out soon enough. That said, you can’t wait too long to figure out the gas tank cap, but we can help with that! There is no interior mechanism to open the fuel tank door on your 2017
Lexus NX200T
. Instead, you’ll need to shut off your vehicle, make sure the doors are unlocked, head to the rear of your Lexus, and press on the center of the fuel tank door—located at the edge that’s closest to the rear end of your car. A gentle press should be enough to cause the fuel tank door to spring open slightly. Then, you can manually open it the rest of the way and unscrew the gas cap.
When you do go for a fill-up, make sure to use the
best gasoline or fuel for your car
