I recently bought a used 2017 INFINITI QX60 and am having trouble figuring out how to open the fuel filler door to refuel—how do you open the gas tank on a 2017 INFINITI QX60?

Opening the gas tank on a 2017
INFINITI QX60
is very simple, though you will need to make sure the doors are unlocked—this can be done by:- Unlocking the driver’s side door with the key
- Unlocking the driver’s side door with the key fob
- Pushing the power door lock switch to the “UNLOCK” position
- Pushing the door handle request switch (when key fob is in range)
Once the doors are unlocked, switch the engine off and exit your vehicle—walk to the fuel filler door and press in on the right side to open it. After you’ve opened the fuel filler door, unscrew the fuel filler cap (it turns counterclockwise) and set it in the cap holder attached to the inside.
Now that you’ve removed the fuel cap, the gas tank opening is exposed and you’re ready to refuel. Remember that the 2017 INFINITI QX60 has a fuel tank capacity of exactly 19.5 gallons and requires premium unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of at least 91 AKI.
When you’ve finished pumping gas, replace the fuel filler cap by turning it clockwise until you hear an audible “click”—this signifies it is securely locked in place. If the cap is loose or not sitting properly, your INFINITI’s information display will show a “LOOSE FUEL CAP” warning, at which point you should secure the cap as soon as possible. Firmly shut the fuel filler door to latch it.
