How do you open the gas tank on a 2017 Honda Accord?
Where is the gas tank door release on a 2017 Honda Accord? I can’t figure out how to put gas in my rental car and I’m not sure what to do!

- Turn off your car and unlock your vehicle. This is a very important step, as a locked car will also have a locked gas tank.
- Exit your vehicle and walk around to the fuel door.
- Gently, press inward on the lower left-hand side of the fuel door. This will trigger the spring mechanism, and you should feel the door open with a soft click.
- Once the fuel door clicks open, you can swing it open the rest of the way to reveal your fuel tank.
- Unscrew your gas cap to access your gas tank and fill it with gas.
If this process doesn’t work, it’s possible that your rental car’s fuel door is jammed, or that the vehicle is experiencing electrical problems. In this case, be sure to report the problem to your rental company as soon as possible to avoid being charged extra fees.
You’ll also be charged extra fees if you don’t fill up the gas in your rental, so get that 2017 Accord to a gas station! To avoid even more fees on your next rental, check to see if your
