How do you open the gas tank on a 2015 Cadillac Escalade?
This seems like a bit of a silly question, but how do you open the gas tank on a 2015 Cadillac Escalade? I’m driving one as a rental car and realized there doesn’t seem to be any release button on the dashboard. Little help here?

Not a silly question! Many Cadillacs have capless gas tanks, and they can be a bit tricky! You can open the gas tank on a 2015
Cadillac Escalade
by unlocking the car and pressing gently on the center rear area of the gas tank door. The door should spring open, and there you have it!
Many newer Cadillacs have a capless gas tank, so don’t be surprised if there’s nothing to unscrew once you open the lid. This system is actually designed as a security measure, as it makes it much more difficult to siphon gas.
Since this
Cadillac
is a rental, check the owner’s manual to ensure you select the best fuel grade before filling up the tank.While Cadillac states drivers can use gas with an octane rating of 87 or higher, it can cause acceleration issues and low fuel economy. They recommend using premium unleaded gas rated **91 or higher, so you might want to stick with that unless the rental car company specifies otherwise.
