My dad just bought a new car and gave me his old Buick Encore to drive. It’s my first car, so I’m pretty stoked, but I don’t want to embarrass myself the first time I have to pump gas. How do you open the gas tank on a 2015 Buick Encore?

Don’t worry! Learning to open your car’s gas tank is one of the easiest car maintenance tasks to learn—even for a brand-new car owner! Here’s how to do it on the 2015
Buick Encore
:- Pull up to the gas pump and exit your vehicle.
- Walk over to your fuel door and gently push it in.
- Turn the gas cap counterclockwise to remove it.
That’s it! Now all you have to do is insert the fuel nozzle and follow the instructions on the gas pump to fill your car. When you’re done, remember to reattach the gas cap and push the fuel door closed before you drive away.
