How do you open the gas tank on a 2013 Chrysler 200?

I just bought a used 2013 Chrysler 200 and can’t seem to find the fuel door button. I don’t want to make a fool of myself the first time I try to pump gas—how do you open the gas tank on a 2013 Chrysler 200?

The reason you can’t find a fuel door button on your 2013
Chrysler 200
is because it doesn’t have one! Instead, you can open the gas tank from outside your car.
Here’s what you should do once you pull up to the gas pump:
  • Get out of your vehicle and locate your gas tank at the rear of your car.
  • Use your fingertips to gently push in on the door and wait for it to pop open.
  • Unscrew the gas cap to access the fuel funnel.
Now all you have to do is follow the instructions on the gas pump to fill your car with regular, 87-octane gasoline (the type of fuel Chrysler recommends for the 200 sedan). Remember to reattach your gas cap and push your fuel door closed again when you’re done, and you’ll be ready to resume driving!
