How do you open the gas tank on a 2006 Dodge Charger

I recently acquired a 2006 Dodge Charger and will need to put fuel in the tank soon but I do not know how the fuel filler door opens, as there is no tab or release latch to pull—how do you open the gas tank on a 2006 Dodge Charger?

You can open the gas tank on a 2006
Dodge Charger
by pushing in on the edge of the left side of the fuel filler door—doing so will cause the door to automatically unlatch and spring open part way.
Manually pull the door open the rest of the way and unscrew the gas cap—the gas tank is now exposed. Set the gas cap tether on the hook attached to the inside of the fuel filler door and you are ready to refuel.
There are, however, a few things you should know before putting gas in the tank: the type of gas to use and how much fuel your 2006 Dodge Charger can actually hold.
The former depends on the type of engine in your vehicle. If you have the standard 2.7L engine, use high-quality unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87; if you have the larger 3.5L or 5.7L engine, you can use high-quality unleaded gasoline with a rating between 87 and 89.
Fuel tank capacity, on the other hand, depends on the trim level and model options of your 2006 Dodge Charger, so be sure to verify beforehand how many gallons your specific vehicle can hold to avoid overfilling the tank.
When you are done refueling, screw the gas cap back on until you hear a “clicking” sound—this signifies that the cap is securely in place. Firmly shut the fuel filler door to latch it and you’re done!
