How do you open a Tesla sunroof?

How can I open my Tesla’s sunroof? The car is new, and I’m still trying to figure everything out. I’d like to put down the top so I can take a ride in the sun, but I don’t know how to!

While Teslas seem to come with just about every imaginable feature, they don’t have sunroofs!

Tesla did manufacture a Model S with an opening panoramic roof option for a while—but they stopped producing this feature in 2018. Now, Teslas come with large, beautiful transparent glass roofs—which are sealed shut.

But if you purchased an old model, you can open the sunroof by selecting Sun Roof in the settings menu and pulling back the sunroof in the presented image. You can also lower it with the scrolling wheel next to the screen.
