How do you open a stuck glove box in a Honda Odyssey?

I think I might’ve jammed too much stuff in my glove box, and now I can’t get it open. I don’t want to break anything in the process of opening it, but I don’t know what to do at this point. How do I open a stuck glove box in a Honda Odyssey?

We’ve all been there; don’t worry!
You can easily unjam your Honda’s glovebox by doing the following:
  • Get a mini-screwdriver–one that’s about half the size of a regular screwdriver or smaller.
  • Put the screwdriver in the opening at the top between the handle and the glove box. You’ll notice there’s a line on the handle piece that separates the keyhole from the actual handle–you want to put your screwdriver slightly to the right of that line and gently push the screwdriver into the opening.
  • If you feel your screwdriver go into a small section, then you’re almost there. All you have the do is lightly jiggle the screwdriver up and down to press on the latching mechanism until it releases.
If you’ve done this correctly, you should have an open
glovebox
; so congrats! Consider taking out a few of those packs of gum and some of those road maps.
