My key fob doesn’t work anymore, and I’m thinking the battery is dead—at least I’ll start there. How do you open a Kia Sorento key fob?

Steps | How to open a Kia Sorento key fob (2014-2020) |
|---|---|
Step 1 | Hold down the button on the back of the fob and pull out the emergency key inside. |
Step 2 | Put a flathead screwdriver inside the small hole under the hole where the emergency key came out. Gently turn/twist to pop apart the fob. |
Step 3 | With your fingers, gently pull apart the two sides of the fob. |
Step 4 | Remove the old battery and replace with the new battery, + side down; battery # CR2032. |
Step 5 | Pop the fob back together and return the emergency key back into its slot. |
