How do you open a Honda Civic trunk from the outside?
I’m in the process of shopping for a new car since my last one broke down. My dad has been nice enough to let me use his in the meantime. I went grocery shopping the other day and had to use the trunk release lever located inside the car because I couldn’t figure out how to open it from the outside. Can you open a Honda Civic trunk from the outside?

trunk from the outside varies by model. You can try asking your dad, checking the owner’s manual, or using one of the following methods:- Press and hold the trunk release button on the key fob.
- Unlock all the doors using the key fob, then pull up on the release handle located on the trunk above the license plate and below the Honda logo.
- Insert the key into the lock located on the trunk and turn it clockwise. The trunk will automatically pop open or can be opened by pulling up on the release handle.
