How do you open a gas tank on a Lexus NX 300?
I just started a new job at a high-end used car dealership. One of the job perks is getting to drive luxury vehicles back from car auctions. When I set out this afternoon with one of my boss's purchases, I suddenly realized how little gas was in the tank. I’ll need to put in some gas to make it back to the dealership—Can you tell me how to open a gas tank on a Lexus NX 300?

The first thing to realize is that there is no release button on the inside of the Lexus to open the gas tank door. Instead, you’ll pop open the door manually from the outside.
Before getting out of the car, be sure the engine is off and the doors are unlocked. If the doors inadvertently lock, you won’t be able to open the gas tank door.
You’ll find the gas tank on the driver’s side of the car. When you walk over to it, very gently press on the door/lid, and it should pop right open.
Of course, don’t forget to close the door after you’ve filled up and screwed the gas cap back on.
If you follow these steps, you should be able to fill up and get back on the road. Enjoy the rest of your ride in the Lexus!
