How do you open a Chevrolet Cavalier hood?

I was trying to help my grandma look into a funny noise that’s been coming from the hood of her car. Well, I’m pretty sure we both looked like fools to her neighbors because we couldn’t get it opened! How do you open a 2005 Chevrolet Cavalier hood?

Yikes! Opening a car hood can be deceptively tricky since it can vary somewhat from vehicle to vehicle, so there’s no shame in that.
To open a 2005
Chevrolet Cavalier
hood, you’ll first need to locate the hood release inside your vehicle’s cabin.
You should be able to find it on the lower left side of your
Chevrolet’s
instrument panel, or to the left side of your steering wheel, near the floor and your driver side door. It has a symbol of a car with its hood open.
After pulling on the hood release handle, go to the front of your vehicle to locate a second hood release lever. It’s near the center at the front of the hood and a little bit closer to the driver’s side of the vehicle. Pull up on the lever to release it.
From there, you can prop open your hood and take a look inside.
Rust and a lack of lubrication can also make it harder to
open the hood
of an older vehicle, so it’s possible that might have played a role, too. It helps to make sure the hood release mechanisms are well-lubricated and rust-free to keep them operating smoothly, and if you can’t open it yourself, it’s a good idea to seek a mechanic’s help to avoid breaking something.
That’s all there is to it! When it comes to your own vehicle, it’s never a bad time to take another look at your current
car insurance
policy to make sure it’s giving you the protection you need. If you notice any coverage gaps, or you just want to find a better rate, the
