How do you open a BMW top box?

What should I do to open my BMW’s top box? I’ve never used it before, but we’re going on a road trip, and some extra storage could be helpful.

—luckily, the BMW top box is a great option! Follow these steps to open your BMW top box:
  • First, turn your key to the OPEN position.
  • Then, press the key or lock barrel until you see the locking lever pop out.
  • Pull the locking lever up until you feel the lid unlatch.
  • Once the lid is unlatched, you should be able to lift it open!
