How do you make your own air freshener?

Can I make my own air freshener at home? I really want one for my car to cover up some of the smell that comes from driving with my dog, but it would be nice if I could make one myself instead of buying something new.

Dogs are fun, lovable, and very smelly! Luckily, you can use these supplies to make your own air freshener and
cover up the smell
:
  • Felt
  • Scissors
  • A hole punch
  • Essential oil(s) of your choice
  • Yarn or string
Once you’ve gathered your materials, follow these steps to make your air freshener:
  • Using the scissors, cut the felt into the shape you want. You can create a traditional air freshener shape or get creative!
  • Punch a hole at the top and thread the yarn or string through it.
  • Put about 10 drops of your essential oil on the felt. It should absorb fairly quickly. If your air freshener isn’t strong enough, you can add more essential oil as needed.
Congratulations—your car should be smelling good as new!
