How do you make a new car key?

How do you make new car keys when you lose your old ones? I lost my keys recently, and I need a new one for my car, but I’m not sure how to make a new one.

! Luckily, you can follow these steps to get a new key made:
  • First, you’ll need to get your car’s vehicle identification number (VIN), which is usually located on your dashboard on the driver’s side.
  • You may also need the make, model, and year of your car, which you can find on your car title.
  • While a locksmith might be able to use this information to help make you a new key, your dealership will always be able to help.
  • If you also need a new key fob for your car**, you may be able to order it online from your car manufacturer and program it yourself.
