How do you keep your car from icing over?

What can I do to keep my car from icing over? I spend so long scraping the windows and windshield every morning, is there any way to stop them from getting icy in the first place?

Here are a few things you can do to keep your car from icing over in the winter:
  • Use a store-bought de-icer, like Prestone or Splash.
  • Mix three parts white vinegar and one part water and spray it on your windows and windshield.
  • Mix two parts rubbing alcohol and one part water and spray it on your windows and windshield.
  • Boil four cups distilled water and two teaspoons non-iodized salt for 20 minutes. Allow the solution to cool, then apply it to your windshield and windows.
  • Purchase a winter car cover or park your car in a garage.
