How do you keep rodents from chewing car wires?

We have had a recent rat and mouse issue in our garage and I’m worried about them damaging my car’s wires. What should I do?

Oh no! Rodents can be quite the nuisance, so I hope you have gotten rid of the problem. If they are still in your garage, there are a couple of things you can do to make sure they don’t cause damage to your vehicles.
First, it’s important to make your garage as rodent-resistant as possible. Make sure you get rid of temptations by sealing off any garbage, and take extra steps to seal your garage and walls so they can’t get in.
If you have done that, you can deter rodents by using rodent repellents, like peppermint, cloves, or cayenne pepper. Mix any of these household products in a solution with water to spray around your vehicle and deter rodents. You can also set up traps to lure rodents away from your car.
In the unfortunate event that rodents do cause damage to your vehicle, repairs may be covered with
