How do you jump start a Toyota Highlander Hybrid?

My Toyota died in the driveway and I don't want to call a mechanic if I don't have to. What's the easiest way to jump a hybrid car?

Jumping a car
can be stressful in the best of times, but hybrid cars can be even more confusing.
Here’s how to jump start your Toyota Highlander Hybrid:
  • First,
    open the hood
and the fuse box cover and connect the positive jumper clamp to your car’s jump starting terminal. Then, attach the other positive end to the second car’s positive battery terminal.
  • Next, connect the negative jumper clamp to the other car, then attach your side’s negative jumper clamp to an unpainted metallic part of your vehicle.
  • Finally, start the functional car and rev the engine a bit, then keep it going for five minutes.
  • When five minutes are up, test your Highlander. Once the system has started, you can disconnect your jumper cables in the opposite order that you attached them.
