How do you insure a car for a driver with a learner’s permit?
My son is hopefully going to get his learner’s permit next month, and I’m so proud of him! I want to make sure he’s properly insured, but I don’t know the process for insuring teenagers. How do I make sure he’s insured when we hit the roads?

That’s an exciting time for your son—I hope he passes on the first try! The easiest way to make sure your son is properly insured is to add him to your current policy if you can.
When a teen gets their learner’s permit and is ready to hop in the

, adding them to your insurance policy will ensure that they’re properly covered on the road. If you want to add them to your policy, you should notify your insurer as soon as possible.
