How do you install a snorkel on a Ford Ranger?
I want to go off-roading in my Ranger, but I want to avoid getting dirt in my air filter. How do you install a snorkel on a Ford Ranger to keep the air intake clean?

Dirt in your engine could cause a serious issue! Installing a snorkel should help, but make sure you have these supplies handy before you begin installation:
- Snorkel kit (make sure it fits your vehicle)
- Drill
- Hole saw set
- Screwdriver set
- Socket set
- Stepper bit
- Remove the inner fender lining to access the air intake. You’ll be putting the snorkel here.
- Undo all screws and remove the air intake from the fender. There should be six screws to remove.
- Align the snorkel to the body of the vehicle. You can use the snorkel kit’s template or place it where you’d like.
- Drill the holes where the snorkel will attach. If needed, you can use the stepper bit to make the holes bigger.
- Insert screws into the snorkel. Place the snorkel tube in the fender and run it to the air intake.
- Fasten the bolts attaching the snorkel to the car’s body and attach the snorkel to the air intake box.
- Bolt your airbox and fender back in place. Attach the air ram to the top of the snorkel tube.
After that, you’ve successfully attached a snorkel to your 1995 Ford Ranger!
