How do you go about drifting a Ford Focus?

I recently bought a Ford Focus RS. While it has ample power and is surprisingly nimble, I want to take my driving to the next level through drifting. How can I drift in a Ford Focus?

Drifting a car isn’t easy, at least at first. Fortunately, your
Ford Focus RS
is the perfect vehicle for the job because its weight is well-distributed, it comes with a manual, and it’s nimble. So if you want to go about drifting in a Ford Focus, follow these steps:
  • Only drift on a closed track with no other cars or pedestrians around.
  • Head into a turn at about 20 mph and in second gear.
  • Turn the wheel in the direction of the bend.
  • Drop the clutch (push it in) while you’re turning the wheel.
  • You should feel the rear wheels start to lose traction, and you’ll drift.
  • Finish off the maneuver by turning the wheel in the opposite direction.
After taking a few minutes to learn how to drift, why not drift into some savings by comparing car insurance with the
