How do you get your car back in GTA 5 online?
I’m new to GTA 5 and I’m still getting used to online play. I’m tired of finding a new car every time my car gets destroyed! How can I get my car back when I’m playing online?

Well, may I be the first to welcome you to Los Santos! If you want to get your car back in GTA 5 after it’s destroyed or impounded, you’ll need to add a tracker to your car and buy insurance.
You’ve got two options to get a tracker and insurance in GTA 5:
- Head to Los Santos Customs and purchase them
- Buy a garage, which will automatically add a tracker and insurance to the cars you buy
Then, if your car is destroyed, all you have to do is place a call to Mors Mutual Insurance and pay the fee to get your car back.
If you’re caught by the police, retrieving your car is pretty simple. Just head to the impound lot and steal the car back—or, if you’re feeling generous, pay the fee. Remember: if you do steal the car, the police will be hot on your heels, so you better have an escape plan!
